Gwyn's Dedication
October 28th was Gwyn's dedication at church. The boys were so cute
standing up in front of the congregation and Gwyn looked beautiful in
her dress that Mimi made. All our friends came to our church that morning to see our precious little girl get dedicated to the Lord. It meant so much to look out and see so many faces of people who love us. Afterwards we went and had a family lunch at
Mimi and Poppy's house. Bena and Papa, Uncle William, Mooma, Aunt Stacy, Uncle Stephen, Tate and Cal were all there.

The Big Move
I know there are plenty of people that move all the time, but let me just say for this girl who grew up in the same house for 19 years, lived in the same apartment 3 years of college and lived in one house for 8 years with her hubby, I hope and pray that I NEVER have to move again!! It turned out we did a house swap with the people whose house we bought
so they moved into the cottage. That being said, we had to be out of the
cottage so that they could move their stuff in so we ended up "homeless" for about 5 days. We stayed at mom and dad's house and I wonder if you have ever heard of the show called Hoarders. Well let's just say we were
living in it. Here's a peek...
Actual moving day went really smooth and it was so fun to see what all was in the pods. We almost forgot after four months without it! Even our movers told us it was one of the most laid back moves they had ever done.
Slowly but surely boxes got unpacked, furniture got delivered, and then we knew it was time to have a party. Why? Because we're insane! :) We hosted a 50th birthday party this past weekend for a family friend and it was the best thing we could have ever done. It forced us to get everything put together and pictures hung. The party was a great success and we had fun celebrating such a special man in our lives. As with anything, houses are always a work in progress but for now it is perfect for us because we are worn out. Here are the pics that I promised a month ago!

October in pictures!
Well well well, some might have wondered where the heck I've been but most likely not because your lives have probably been just as crazy as ours! We got moved into the new house and
basically the whole month of October is a blur. I am going to do a quick
recap mostly for myself to get caught up with pictures. Here goes nothing...
Every October, Chris goes with my Dad and Uncle John to the German Heritage. This year, Ken and Jason went with them. They sure do look handsome all dressed up!
Mom and I stayed home with the kiddos and ordered the cutest takeout I have ever seen in my life!
Gwyn had her two month checkup and was such a trooper with her shots. The extra sleep actually came in very handy seeing as how we had moved the day before her appointment. :) She weighed 11lbs 6 oz and was in the 64th percentile for weight and the 87th for height. She still fights what seems to be colic in the evenings and absolutely despises her carseat. The good news is we have a paci attached to a little stuffed animal and it is the perfect shape and size to strap into her carseat so that she doesn't keep spitting it out. To say it has been a lifesaver is an understatement, although sometimes even lamby can't do the trick. She is smiling a ton now and coos at us. She has started looking around when she is eating and if she hears a sound will immediately stop to look, especially if it is the voice of one of her brothers. We have gotten her to laugh out loud about 3 times now and she adores to just be talked to. The boys are so sweet with her and love to sit and look at her. Davis always tells me how cute her tiny hands are and Grady tells her she is a pretty girl. I can't believe she is already 3 months!! I love seeing her grow though because each day brings something new she can do and it is fun to watch her discover more about the world around her. Now time for more pics...
Grady had crazy red and white day during homecoming week at school and then we got to go to Super Saturday to have some fun. Audrey came with us and we had a blast!

Happy Gwynnie...Sad Gwynnie
I took these on her "2 month birthday." Can't believe that was a month ago already! Davis absolutely loves taking pictures with her so much that I usually have to ask him to get out of a few. :)

She loves playing with her left ear!! |
Uncle William bough her a Minnie Mouse outfit. Too cute!
Watching TV with Daddy |
Hugging Grady and chilling in the big bathtub with her biggest brother!
3 months old!!
The best part about our new house is Hope being home!! She even has a new bed which as you can see she loves!
Davis clowning around at Mimi and Poppy's in Cal's walker |
Last but not least, we did remember to go to the pumpkin patch and pick out some good ole pumpkins. Daddy carved one and amongst all the craziness we couldn't even find a lighter to make it glow but it was the thought that counts right?? :)

Pretend
Today is Tuesday, October 2nd and that means two things; Davis is exactly 3 1/2 years old and Gwyn is already 8 weeks old. Gwyn went three nights in a row last week sleeping 10:30-7 but now it's back to waking up between 3 and 4 AM. I sure hope having her real crib next week will help! She started blowing little bubbles this weekend and moves her mouth around in the funniest way when you talk to her as if she is trying so hard to talk back to you. It is so funny. The rest of this week will be quite an adventure jumping between grandparents' houses, but I am sure we will make the most of it.
